night in the -- 11:00 last night in the paterson armory on market street in paterson, the building has been abandoned for many years. it's a gorgeous building as you can see but the fire is down in the basement and that's the reason the fire department having such a tough time getting this extinguished. they've been on the scene all night long just dumping water into the basement trying to get this fire out. but the result now is a lot of smoke. it's a smoky fire in the neighborhood. and with the weather that smoke hanging very close to the ground. as you mentioned, this is affecting some local schools right up here next door you can see one of those schools that's affected. we are told that east side high school also four elementary schools that school number 11, school number 15, roberto clement tea and new roberto clemente. all of the schools will be closed for the day because of the smoke in the area and the surrounding activity around this fire which is still not yet under control. and we're live over paterson, john del giorno, channel 7 eyewitness news. >> john thank you. >>> thi
