harvey made landfall 10:00 on the dot on san jose island. e barrier island four miles east, that's san jose island. you see the thunderstorms around the eye wall. we have reports of wind gusts at 140 miles per hour in rock port. the storm is about 300-miles across. it's been a long time since texas was hit by a category four hurricane. two days ago it was a tropical depression. it ramped up fast, pressure is slow moving northwest seven miles per hour. it will continue to weaken. maximum wind gusts 160 miles per hour. talking about a category 4 hurricane, this can cause tremendous wind damage, storm surge damage and since it's stalling, it will cause a lot of rain damage. 130 miles per hour over san hoe day sield, rock port reporting wind gusts 140 miles per hour. it's slowing down and it will essentially stall over the coast of texas for the next several days. the spaghetti plots go out until next friday. the high pressure trapping it, lost its steering current. you can see how there is a big hot mess where this will sit there, gradually weak

san jose island, 400 miles east of rock port drifting off to the northwest at 6 miles per hour. now, as we take a look at the spaghetti plots each line represents a forecast model it doesn't know what to do with the storm, the loops it around and brings it to the north some models drift it to the west. because this is going 4 or five days into the future, because of this we're expecting the heavy rains to continue to barrel the eastern part of texas at least over the next four or five days. speaking of rain here's a look at the totals that have fallen in this part of the country. angle ton 7 inches of rain, houston, a little bit more than 5 inches. victoria 4.33 inches. bay city, 3.7 inches of rain. it will do the loop deloop. victoria expecting 21 inches of rain and lake charles in louisiana 7 additional inches of rain and corpus christi 16 inches of rain additionally on top of the five to six you picked up. harvey's impact little if any movement catastrophic flooding expected. parts of the area could be uninhabitable for weeks or months depending on the amount of rain that fal

four miles east of rockport on an island called san jose highland winds 130 miles per hour, gusting up to 140. sandy made landfall over brigantine, the worst flooding was north of there, ocean and monmouth county and central new jersey and the battery in new york city. same thing happened here as the storm came onshore, the worst flooding was north of the track which is in this area here where they picked up a storm surge of to 12 feet. 25-foot waves on top of that. the winds blow counter clockwise around the storm. as the storm is reaching the coast it's taking on the forward momentum, you get the wall of water here. on the other side you felt the wrath of the hurricane force winds that were up to 140 miles per hour. now, these are some of the gusts that were reported, port aranar. copano village, 125 miles per hour. lamar, 110, rockport 108. and magnolia beach 79. a boat storage facility was destroyed a couple of homes destroyed in rock port where the eye wall came onshore, this is a look at the flooding in port aransas texas they are seeing five feet above normal high tide level. ho
