this right here is the mighty raging san lorenzo river.hen we got here earlier this morning, it had overflowed its banks. it was over 19 ft flood stages. 16.9 and now it's down to about 16 ft . but high tide is at 11 58 this morning so this river will continue to fluctuate. we can tell that in the past several hours we did have some flooding in this neighborhood here, right over here. behind me, is a deck. of a homeowner and you could see that the mud has covered the deck and there's some tossed plants so obviously the river did compromise this homeowner's house and the whole neighborhood is flooded. that is why we had evacuations last night. let's share this video with you. we're police officers and fire department went home to home, knocking on people's doors, waking them up. and telling them they had to get to higher graham. they had to get to know evacuation shelter, and most of the neighbors we can tell, did take that warning. we noticed only a couple of lights on homes here this morning when we drove in. otherwise let's jog about 10

so this is good here, because notice what we've been worried about, the san lorenzo river has already hit flood stage from previous storms and we are expecting for this to crest above flood stage, right below major flood stage at 11:00 a.m. today, at about 26 feet. this is above the flood stage of 16.5, but as the system clears out it will help it begin to recede heading into the evening. the winds will be the next big concern because the timing right now for some of the gustiest conditions, right around 10:00, so right as the storm comes through, until about 11:00, 12:00. the winds around san francisco, 50 plus miles per hour, river more 43, through san jose, 30 plus as well, and it stays very gusty, ramping up through about 12:00, 1:00. concord, 50 miles per hour, through san francisco as well. so we're not going to see these winds start to taper off, really, until this evening. once that does move out, that's going to make way for still the possibility of downed trees as well. as we inch closer toward wednesday, i have some good news. it looks like because the system is moving out
