on wednesday, deputies in san rafael arrested 22 year old angel henriquez in 26 year old jesus kamaz, both of oakland. they also seized about a pound of suspected fentanyl later search of a home in oakland uncovered another kilo of fentanyl and about $3000 in cash. both men are in custody on a multitude of charges, and drug enforcement officers say they're seeing an increase in the drug ketamine being mixed with fentanyl. ketamine is an anesthetic, which, with hallucinogenic effects, officials say seizures of the drug in new york have ballooned from 50 kg in 2022 400 kg in 2022. federal officers say the combination of fentanyl and ketamine is marketed to users as a special kind of high and being sold by some dealers through the mail. concern is that it's been used as a cocktail with other drugs. if it's mixed with fentanyl, obviously it becomes deadly. and jfk. federal officers are using drug sniffing canines, handheld drug detecting devices and x ray machines to seize those drugs and help stop overdoses. saying it was a mother is in jail, accused of suffocating one of her seven month
