scott mcgrew, a big blow to uber itself. >> a blow to any company that uses 1099 workers. this suit could give them courage to go forward with their own lawsuit. food delivery services, ride sharing apps. lyft faces its own suit. the judge ruled monday the lawsuit against uber brought by four uber drivers could be expanded. the big question here, and the one that has to be decided by a jury, is whether uber drivers are contract workers or employees. in its decision, chen said the class will be open to all uber black, uber x, uber suv drivers who have driven for uber in the state of california with one exception, and those are people who signed a later contract agreeing to arbitration. at this point, not clear how many people qualify for the clasp the plaintiffs say it's more than 100,000. uber says the a fraction. the case has similarities to a recent case where fedex drivers said they were not contract workers, they should be considered employees and they won. the judge in that case is the judge in this case. >>> let's check in and get better news. landon dowdy has nothin
