"today in the bay's" pete suratos joins us live with how the city's safety improvements could change what we know as te telegraph avenue. pete? >> the plan is called a complete streets plan and overall goal is to make streets safer for everyone. they're using the streets in oakland and you'll get a chance to weigh in later today. we'll get to the details in a moment, but first, let's show you the map of the changes that you're going to see with this plan being put together by the city. oakland is reworking telegraph avenue in two phases. that will be from 20th street all the way to 42nd street. the plan is to have permanent improvements complete in two years, so by 2021, they want to wrap up those improvements. here's why they're doing it. between 2007 and 2011, four people died in crashes. 16 people were severely injured and there wer
