he was on his way to sfo for a business trip when he was stopped and arrested.ren tompkins, a physics professor at stanford, says she got out of her car to see what was going on. she says she spoke up when she saw police pulling people out of their vehicles and detaining them. she was arrested for that. they were sent to san francisco jail where they were processed, had to take mug shots, were charged with unlawful assembly and failure to disperse. birx says police confiscated his truck and went through his belongings and his work bag. but again, he says he and the professor and other people who were stuck in the back up and got out to see what was going what was going on with this protest, were wrongfully detained. and as being tied to the protest, we've reached out to the chp to ask about some of those claims and whether there's a possibility some people were mistakenly arrested. we have not yet heard back from them, but the man we spoke to says that he plans to contest the charges. he has a court date set for december 20th. live at the bay bridge toll plaza,

no sign of any significant weather delays for all of the apec attendees flying out of sfo. today was also one of the busiest days for air travel as many get an early start on thanksgiving week. paul heggen is tracking the rain right now and what we can expect this weekend. >> plenty of rain this evening, this is what we have been waiting for all week as this stubborn storm system was sending ripples of energy towards us, off and on showers, and the rain is here. let's zoom in on the heavier downpours. starting with the north bay, there's a lot of rain falling over sonoma county right now. no flood advisories. but there may be some standing water on the sides of roads, especially because the storm drains are going be called by all the leaves. the rain isn't quite as widespread in napa county but still plenty of showers in solano county. there's more rain up to the north into san francisco, some of the heaviest is further down the peninsula, moving directly north into the city. and in the east bay as well, some of the heaviest rain the east bay have seen so far today, moving
