now back to that breaking news happening right here in the south bay and confirming there's been a deathgation overnight. >> "today in the bay's" kris sanchez has been following this story for us, lin. kris? >> reporter: hi there. we know somebody died. we don't know who that person is and don't notesi east santa cla street closed between seventh and eighth and perhaps into ninth, the 900 block. santa clara will remain closed until at least 10:00 this morning. here is what our crews saw as they arrived on scene this morning. that was about 3:00 this morning, that a san jose police officer spotted a suspicious car and called for backup. there was a swarm of officers who arrived, including an armored personnel carrier. over a loud speaker, officers called for anyone in that car to get out. our crew did not see anybody get out but we did see rubber bullets on the ground. the cars in a parking lot for a small office building on santa clara with signs for a dentist and a lawyer, this is just a block from san jose city hall and from san jose state university. in fact we did see several campus
