the sunshine or dance task force is subject to sunshine like anyone else. that reaction is so telling about the this functionality of the current composition of the task force. but it goes deeper than that. this task force purported to exempt itself from the san francisco charter. our charter is very clear. anybody in this city, the board of supervisors, the planning commission, the sunshine ordinance task force, when you vote, to take action u.s. have a majority of all members of the body vote in favor, not the majority of those present. they amended their bylaws to state that they were exempting themselves from that requirement and that going forward, only a majority of those present would have to vote. think, for a second, if we adopted a rule and started voting based on those present, even if it was not the majority of the whole body, guess what? someone would file a sunshine request with the sunshine task force, and the task force would conclude that we had committed official misconduct and would make a referral. that is exactly what the sunshine or da

just south of san jose but we have some sunshine in san jose. around the immediate bay area. just in the low to mid-70s. we are looking at some minor changes day to day. take a look at our radar as we go further north. we do have moisture offshore. heavy rain around mounted shasta. this is a little bit unusual and for the first full weekend of summer you would expect more summer like conditions. we're slowly going to see that in the next couple of days. 52 the cool spot and 58 in redwood city. we got the cloud cover from watsonville to salinas. monterey, partly cloudy right now and 55 degrees. highlights, a weak cold front has swept on through the bay area. we're looking at good visibility. more sunshine and a little bit milder today, maybe two degrees warmer today and couple degrees warmer tomorrow. but the warming really doesn't begin until say tuesday, wednesday around the bay. it's all because of this system off the oregon coast that continues to spin. it's really not going to move too much in the next 48 hours. when it does. we'll look for

looking at the sunshine, speaking of sunshine did you know that here in washington we get to on averageoy sunsets 8:30 or later, about 45, 46 days a year. this year we get 46 from june 5th through july 20th, our sun sets at 8:30 or later. current temperature is 85 in downtown. it sure is a warm and increasingly humid day. temperatures generally speaking in the upper 70s low and mid-80s area-wide. we have a couple of dry hours left, but the first drops of next rain event are sneaking into downtown charlottesville. at the university of virginia it is raining right now. the drops move into northbound county over the next two, two and a half hours. that's three and a half to four hours away from the capital beltway. we keep an eye on the raindrops. there's a break in the action, so we might get a quick shower and have a couple of dry hours. steadier rain showers hold off until late night and much of the day tomorrow. it will be soggy. we have moistures from two directions, from the gulf coast and midwest. it's a can't miss on the rain for tomorrow. today just becoming cloudy. rain passing s
