good morning, john. >> reporter: good morning, tam., police are still on the scene although they seem to be exiting the scene at this point in time. what we were told is that overnight probably about two or three hours ago a man tied to open a door of a house here in the 1800 block of rosewood where two women reside. did he not gain entry to that door. but he has been taken into custody or an individual has been taken into custody to be questioned about all of this. now, this happened in the wake of a sexual assault that occurred here in the 1800 block of rosewood earlier this week. in that case a man waited inside a shower for a victim to fall asleep and then attacked. now, police have issued a sketch in that particular case and there is also a possible link to an earlier robbery and assault last march in the 1700 block of chadwick. again, police in the wake of both of those assault cases have been urging people whoever to be on the lookout to be careful and to be careful to lock their doors and windows particularly at night. again, t

. >> reporter: good morning tam. we have been telling you all morning about that anticipated report from french investigators that would outline those disturbing details that andreas lubitz may have practiced descending on an earlier flight the same day he crashed that germanwings plane into the alps killing 150 people on board. well, we just have learned that that report has been officially released in the last half hour confirming those details. now, investigators have confirmed that lubitz flew to barcelona the same day as the crash on an earlier flight and conducted a "controlled descent that lasted for minutes and for which there was no an nautical justification." lubitz suffered from severe depression in the past an computer found in his home showed he used the internet to search ways of committing suicide in the days leading up to the crash. prosecutors found torn up sick notes at his home showing he should not have been have flown the day of the fatal flight. again investigators have just couldn't slimmed in

good morning erin. >> reporter: good morning tam.out wasn't an option and police say 22-year-old haley king didn't get along with her two roommates. in fact those roommates set up secret cameras in their shared apartment because they were so afraid of what king might do following a few altercations the three had. now officials say this video shows king opening the refrigerator picking up several containers one by one and spitting into them. she also poured glass cleaner into one of the containers as you can see there. one of the roommates said she did consume food she believes was tainted with windex and king's spit. the 22-year-old allegedly confessed to the incident when she was confronted by police. >>> now apparently the two roommates who set up the cameras did try to get can ink to move out but she refused. now king is charged with unlawful malicious tampering with a human drug product or food. this is a class c felony and could get her up to 20 years in prison. she has been released after she posted bail day after her arrest. c

. >> reporter: good morning tam we know the train was going twice the speed limit. the question is what was happening in the moments leading up to the crash. police barricades are in the neighborhood. chopper 6 is overhead you can see the work being done at the tracks. the big crane removing the cars, a lot of work being done, as that is happening we're learning about the engineer. overnight crews worked at the site of the amtrak crash that claimed the lives of 7 people and injured 200. sources have identified the engineer as 32 brandon bostian of queens new york. block box indicates the train was going 106-mile an hour that approached the curve with a 50-mile an hour speed limit. the engineer applied the brakes moments before the crash but only slowed it to 102. the speed limit before the bend is 80. >> our mission is to find out what happened and why it happened so we can prevent it from happening again. >> reporter: the surveillance footage caught the train speeding at the top right of the scene, several moments later you see bright flashes of lights as the power

. >> reporter: good morning, tam. disturbing reports emerging that may indicate just how premeditated andres lube -- lubitz's actions were. a source close to france's investigating agency say the 27-year-old may have practiced descending on another flight the same day as the crash. that report is apparently due out today and it will outline these recent findings. the report is expected to talk about lubitz flying to barcelona the same day as the crash on an earlier flight and he constructed a "controlled descent that lasted for minutes for which there was no aeronautical justification." lubitz suffered from severe depression in the past an computer found in his home showed he used the internet to search ways of committing suicide in the days leading up to the crash. prosecutors also found torn up sick notes at his home showing he should not have flown the day of that fatal flight. again, there are reports that the germanwings co-pilot practiced his descent on a flight the same day as he crashed that flight into the fr
