fox 5's faith tanner spoke to a local economic expert to find out if the current proposal is the best deal for taxpayers. as we've reported-- this is how the proposed funding for the 1 point 9 billion dollar 500 million would come from the raiders, 650 million would come from developer sheldon adelson. and 750 million would come from public funding-- and that's the biggest part that the opposition has a problem with. "the stadium will be awesome. not awesome awesome. vegas awesome" : "they must think that we are dumb to raise taxes for their stadium" two conflicting new videos-- show two different the nfl stadium proposal. i sat down with thomas carroll to sort out the pros and cons. carroll is the chief economist at thomas carroll and associates. and a former professor at u- n-l-v. "building a stadium generally transfers income from the public at large to the owners and players... so the most equitable thing to do is that the owners and players pay for the stadium" the current public funds... that would come from anrease in the hotel room tax. but carroll says... owners and developer
