ucsf. they want to continue their great work mission bay campuses. this time they're going to utilize new tracking software to see what people are discarding and take that reporting and create a feedback to the staff and residents of ucsf both at mission bay. i'm exciteed to see how this goes. upstream. they're looking to launch a reusable cup model for coffee shops. it's getting really big in europe. hopefully we'll be partnering one of the companies that launched. they have codes in their cups. when you go to a coffee shup, you get your cup to go. they'll be deposed or you can drop them off. we'll move away from disposable to go cup model. similar to car sharing and bike sharing. hopefully that network will plug into the bay area. last one is urban strategies. they are working already doing zero waste program at alice griffith. their plan is to educate hundred house holds. our recommendations are really nice mix as our director mentioned of innovation, old time grantees that we funded for many years and also social equity and neighborhood type of g

meeting at the ucsf mission bay campus. kpix5's jackie ward is live there this morning with more details. jackie. >> reporter: so there needs to be permission granted by the uc regents in order for uc berkeley to demolish a parking garage in order to build that housing but this has brought up the long running issue of how much money the university actually pays the city for its services. show you the place where we are talking about. we are talking about that parking garage by 26,981st ave at gehle road, the $126 million project would include 150 faculty apartments, 170 parking spots and an academic space for the goldman school of public policy. the university says they really need this housing since enrollment has grown exponentially since its last long range development plan back in 2005. and that is not okay with the city. uc berkeley is exempt from any property taxes so the entire cost of services like police and fire are all paid for by the city. in 2005 the city actually sued and in a settlement the university agreed

chopper five you can see a preteen getting loaded into helicopter bound for ucsf oakland children's hospital, after falling in a pool and getting plucked out unconscious and not breathing. happened on a trip for fifth- graders. just before 11:30 the boy fell in the water surrounded by teachers, parents and fellow students. >> it was like he was laying on the floor and everybody was on the ambulance came in and we couldn't go in the water anymore. >> reporter: a college aged lifeguard performed cpr and revived him before firefighters could arrive. >> antioch waterpark lifeguard staff, cashier staff, managers train daily. they prepare emergency action plans, the practice emergency drills, skill sets needed to be first responders. >> 200 students from three schools. jack london, lone tree campbell and the antioch waterpark. after the student was airlifted to the hospital, the trip was cut short by about an hour an and students were taken back to their campuses. >> i am for sure going to be there knowing now what the situation is. >> we reached out to the antioch unified school district to talk
