vallejo police looking for more suspects in a shooting rampage al a -- at a nail salon last night five were injured, including a little girl now in critical. amy hollyfield is live at the scene on springs road. >> reporter: investigators are trying to nail down why this happened? that is vexing them they want to get to the bottom of why someone walked into this nail salon and started shooting. it wasn't contained to the salon it spilled out into the parking lot and the battle became a rolling gun fight as gunmen were running down the street shooting at each other. police have recovered two dozen shell casings. they got the call 7:00 last night that someone had walked into tina's nail salon on s road in vallejo and started shooting. -- it appears the target was a woman inside. the owner tells me it was one of her loyal customers she does her nails all the time. a man inside possibly a friend of that woman's starting shooting back and then ran out and continued to fire. at this point two parties running and shooting at each other. police found bullet casings in the parking lot along the

it was quite a gun battle here on springs drive in vallejo. police got the call after 7:00 that a total of five people had been shot at tina's nail salon, including a toddler, a little girl sitting on her grandmother's lap. she is in critical, but stable condition this morning. it appears, although police are still trying to sort it out, a female customer of the salon was the target. police say a friend of hers then returned fire. witnesses described the few minutes of terror. >> i don't know outside i heard from the inside then it got louder, i got on the floor and protected my baby. >> they started popping, a lot sound like over 20 shots. they just almost like hit the floor in the house. >> reporter: police have a man in custody. they are looking for more people who were involved. four adults were hit by bullets, all in stable condition, two men and two women. the child is suffering the most from this shootout. police believe she was sitting on her grandmother's lap. they don't know whether the grandmother is the own earth of the salon or a
