are was shot by a baltimore county officer which raises the question, what were they doing in anne arundel county. this happened at 2:11 according to police. cops from different agencies were gathered at the town house to serve a narcotics warrant. they arrested the suspect. when the cops moved inside a baltimore county officer shot a baltimore city officer in the arm. that officer had been on the city force 16 years. baltimore police are not identifying him. they said he was on the dea task force. he was taken to shock trauma after the shooting. the scene, they say, was bizarre, what happened after this police shooting. >> everybody rushed over to him and then they wanted to check on him. he was screaming because he was in pain. they went inside. at that point everybody was standing around. >> reporter: list in anne arundel county said they are not sure how many shots were fired. as for baltimore county police, we know it's difficult to keep things straight. they are don'ting -- doing an internal investigation. all of this stems from the warrant they were serving. they arrested the suspec

our continuing coverage of a rezoning fight in anne arundel. the county council approved the comprehensive rezoning bill. not everyone's happy. one council member is pushing for the county executive to veto this. roosevelt leftwich joins us to tell us why. >> reporter: the anne arundel county council voted to approve the comprehensive new zoning plan some of the folks are not happy with the bill and they want a veto. if the comprehensive rezoning is signed, these would become large apartment or condo complexes. the areas are from r1 which would keep it at single family homes. the vote was 6-1. council member john grasso was the one. >> i told my colleague i don't care if it's one neighborhood or 50 neighborhoods. we owe it to the people to get it right. >> reporter: he said he talked to the people in the area, that the potential for traffic should have been enough to leave the zoning alone or redues the number of residences. the county executive tried to stop it but his amendment failed. he said he would think about a veto, but -- >> got one am
