amelia earhart is tracking progress in getting it back open. we start with 9news reporter noel brennan who is live at the scene. the officer was on the way to an emergency. the officer's car is now up in the bed of a tow truck now. they are about to move the other car that was involved in this accident. they've got northbound lanes of federal boulevard at 88th open now in the past 15 minutes or so. i want to show what you this intersection looked like as emergency crews were on the scene earlier this morning. i know from police that the accident happened about 1:15 in the morning. a westminister police officer had just gotten a call about the disturbance involving the gun. he was headed southbound on federal boulevard when another car traveling southbound on federal turned on to west 88th, right in front of the officer's car. the officer ended up plowing right into that car. sadly, the man driving the other car was killed in the accident. the officer was also sent to the hospital, and has minor injuries. westminister police say he is going to b
