so the that is the quick story on american airlines. fourth quarter traffic up 13%. they didn't have the issues what that southwest airlines did. they had problems but not like southwest airlines. jetblue, i'm seeing a not adjusted earnings per share of 7-cents, looking for 20. that is not ad adjusted. seeing revenue coming in, q1 forecasted revenue coming in higher, in line revenue for the fourth quarter, 2.42 billion. okay, it's slightly higher, 2.42 billion, street looking for 2.41 billion. again, the load factor again, 83.2%. we knew the airlines were busy if the fourth quarter and they were. talking about passenger miles, seat miles, that was pretty strong. i'm seeing now an adjusted earnings -- adjusted earnings per share for jetblue, 22-cents, that's the number we'll go with, that's better than the earnings per share estimate of 20-cents and revenue, 2 2.42 billion, a litte better than the street expected. for these two airlines a little better story than from southwest airlines. jetblue, the stock is higher. maria: talking with peter mcnally in the word on wal

the southwest problems during for cube was the american airlines pickup. american airlines reported very good numbers today and i think some of that will fall away as we get into the new year. i mean we are already there but as we get earnings for the new year and southwest right sizes and doesn't spill as many customers. that's part of what's behind it. the other part of the story is that across-the-board the board in the airlines we are seeing airlines with premium services outperforming low-cost or budget airlines and that is part of the american and alaska stories. to the degree that you are offering business-class or premium economy seat, more of those flyers are returning. some of them are coming down from private aviation and there is strong demand there, despite inflation challenges. they are giving a real tailwind to the full-service carriers of alaska. talking about southwest specifically, they were one of the first to turn cash flow positive again after the covid demand hit. how much of this recovery story is due to the investment they need to p
