but a couple of crashes around the carquinez bridge could be an issue. they are on the shoulder. wet roads, slick conditions. the bay bridge not a problem, wet roads coming into the city. san francisco earlier but not now. on the peninsula side a smoother drive. crashes throughout san mateo on the northbound side a couple of spin-outs so we're watching these areas. a slower drive continuing to improve as an earlier crash has cleared out. the south bay all of this hitting 237. watch it here. 280 at bird reports of flooding. our bob redell is out there. bob you have a closure. what's going on? >> reporter: good morning. yes, northbound 280, the off ramp is shut down because of this flooding that extends maybe a good 50 yards. there is a clogged drain on this upper part, you can see looking at my speed it gets to about 4 to 5 inches deep. that's why the chp if you look behind has shut down this section of the roadway because they don't want people coming in and having issues. right now they are waiting for caltrans to come out to unclog that drain. i can't tell if that silhouette wa

they picked up the overnight roadwork westbound 80 carquinez bridge to the maze moving at the speed limit this morning 18 minutes pretty good for this time of the morning, pretty typical and the nimitz 880 in oakland they had various lanes blocked 16th to broadway in the northbound direction heading into downtown oakland. all that should be picked up as well now that we're at 5:15. and bart is also on time all trains including those heading into downtown san francisco. remember to tune to kcbs radio 740-am and 106.9-fm. >>> checking the fog with the commute, here's lawrence with the forecast. >> that's been the big concern the last couple of days. it's thick and patchy in spots. most of the storm clouds are headed north of the bay area. we could see rain in the north bay. you see the track over the top of the ridge of high pressure into far northern california. they are going to get rain. we'll see a lot of clouds around the bay area this morning and even in the afternoon partly cloudy skies with a chance of a few light sprinkles or showers north of the golden gate bridge. and then more r

the drive time is still only 19 minutes on westbound 80 from the carquinez bridge to the maze.ights is traffic heading into emeryville close to powell street exit. if you are heading to the bay bridge they just turned on the metering lights a couple of minutes ago so now you are stacked up quickly. it didn't take long to get backed up to the overcrossings to at least the west grand right now. right now it's about a 10- minute wait or so to get you on the bay bridge. it's also a little sluggish northbound 101 just past that julian/mckee exit. no lanes blocked no accidents or anything just your usual slowdowns coming into san jose. 280 everything looks good nothing there, moving at the speed limit this morning. and if you are traveling along the peninsula, northbound and southbound 101, actually looks great all the way down into san bruno if you are passing sfo. silicon valley commute also nice and quiet, you're obviously getting the trend no big hot spots right now. no major accidents. we saw a couple of minor fender- benders when we first got in the door but for now everything

some people have tweeted me about gusty winds on the benicia bridge, carquinez and the richmond bridge. 580 as you come through livermore, still a little bit set back. we had earlier problems. 580 is slow over to the altamont pass. the nimitz freeway is gonna be slow just south of leleling down to fremont. the southbound lanes of highway 101 in santa clara county are still shut down. that's after a tanker truck crashed earlier this morning. tara moriarty is there live with other problems the crash is causing. >> reporter: well, the evacuation order has now been lifted for the 14 homes that have located just around this tanker crash. also the winds have really picked up. a lot of the fumes from the gasoline that were so strong and pungent earlier this morning, they have now dissipated. it's a lot easier to breathe. you can see the car is getting ready to be towed. this is the car that caused the crash on 101 southbound past tennant avenue. it crashed into the median and then hit -- sideswiped the tanker truck that you can kind of see behind it if we pan to the right. you can see the tan

again, on 80 looks like we have police activity on 80 eastbound heading up to the carquinez bridge.hat if you are getting on the freeway. westbound traffic backed up to pinole. let's go back to oakland where there's been a violent collision involving a stolen pickup truck that crashed into several cars and a power pole. brian, you have new information. >> reporter: we're on 14th and east 30th in oakland. we've been here for a couple of hours. take a look behind me. a mess. it's been like this since we've been here. four cars damaged total. electrical pole also sheared off after the driver of a stolen u-haul pickup truck lost control around 5:15. we just spoke with oakland police lieutenant who says this truck was reported stolen from vallejo yesterday. opd would not identify the driver but says he's a 22-year- old man out of oakland. it's also unclear specifically where the truck was stolen. but oakland police say the driver was going way too fast. northbound on 14th when he lost control and then slammed into four cars and yoemp turned and -- overturned and hit a power pole. witness
