even through the chatham sea coast and then the sea shore all the way to the sea coast of new hampshire. that's what i was thinking. rain fading now south of nantucket. this is where we're going to start to make hay here and watch that area grow. it will grow into downpours and then head up through western connecticut and then western mass as well, and then it translates east on the front. downpours, yes. with a good southeast wind and there may be a rumble of thunder involved here with this ribbon of heavy rain that develops. but it's late at night. it's midnight until 3:00. the rain will be coming down hard and that wind gust to maybe 30 miles an hour as the downpours move through. once that passes we quiet down tomorrow morning so i don't see a lot of issues for the morning ride, i really don't, other than leftover rain. going through the night tonight, very little chance of rain between 6:00 and 9:00 but then it spikes around 11:00 to 3:00 a.m. then we're dry by about 9:00. how much rain in those downpours we could tip the scale and bring it up close to an inch of rain in some spots
