this one the 29th the chp has investigated so far this year. happened about 230 in the morning on southbound 880 at lewelling in san leandro. a black mitsubishi sedan was traveling in the second from the right lane, when a white vehicle pulled to its right and opened fire. the driver of the black sedan was critically injured suffering a gunshot wound to the head .. the three others in the car were uninjured. the chp says shortly before the shooting they received reports of a road rage incident sot officer joe fowler/chp 43-50 being that there was a road rage incident prior if we can connect those two maybe it was targeted, but other than that we have no definitive answer the chp also doesn't know if gangs are involved. and they currently have no description of the suspect or their car, other than it's white.sotit does worry me because i have lived here all my life and things have really changedsot it makes you much more watch people's actions and take that extra precaution for yourself and your familywhile some are bothered by the sheer number

i have seen some activity here with chp. the lewelling boulevard offramp i can see an officer carrying a cone so hopefully we are getting ready to pick up the closure after the shooting that closed the freeway for quite some time and we have traffic that is very slow approaching the closure so i am singing activity here and hopefully this will start to open up in the next as soon as possible because i-880 is very slow currently. we are backed up from 98th avenue headed south, i would not get on the freeway headed south. eastbound 580 is also slow, use eastbound 580 over two e. 14th and then use 92 to get onto 880 but it will be quite the commute because of the surface streets and traffic lights. northbound 680 we have a new accident where we have three left lanes blocked from danville to walnut creek this is a big problem blocking a big portion of the freeway, southbound 680 is slow as people are looking at the crash again northbound 680 we have a crash. the san mateo bridge is pretty light and here is the east shore freeway
