dan: and i am dan ashley, thank you for joining us.bay and the east bay. we have team coverage for you. abc 7's cornell barnard is in the north bay. kristen:. kristen: but let's begin with spencer christian and the forecast. spencer: right now you can see and doppler seven, scattered showers across the north bay right now and a few offshore as well. there are a few wet spots not much in the we have significant rain at this moment. however, there is more on the way and tomorrow ranks number one on the storm impact scale. light intensity. but we expect showers and moderate rain with a few pockets of heavier rain overnight. starting at 6:00 p.m., notice in the north bay, a few scattered showers. then another wave of scattered heavier rain develops around midnight. there is probably going to be a very wet and messy morning that wave of rain will taper off by midday tomorrow leaving behind anywhere from a quarter inch up to about an inch of additional rainfall on top of what we have had already. in their weekend storm, you can see another s

i'm on a dates and i'm dan ashley.abc 7 hul ivan wherever you stream glad you're with us. well, finally the storm door is open some rainfall in the bay area over the weekend as you know, and it's just a taste of what's to come. we're tracking a series of storms that will hit throughout this week. now, this comes as california just wrapped up the driest water year recorded in nearly 100 years. it's that bad and drought experts don't expect this week's rain to make any real big changes to the state's current conditions. abc 7 news reporter ryan curry is live in lafayette with more right? yeah, good evening that report. you mentioned tonight showed that 2020 was a relatively dry year and 2021 wasn't a really any better and we're going to be getting some rain this week, but it's not a lot of rain, but any rain should be really considered a positive now drought experts are worried that if we don't get much rain throughout this winter 2022 will be an even more strout. it's been a while but northern california will finally st

i'm liz kreutz and i'm dan ashley.bc 7 hulu live and wherever you stream glad you're with us. we we're told it could be months, but it's only taking marin county a matter of weeks to reach the criteria to lift the regional indoor mask mandate effective at noon on monday. you won't have to wear a mask in an indoor public place. unless other rules say that you have to so how did this happen so fast well marin, has fallen to the cdc's yellow tier for moderate covid transmission and it stayed there for three weeks. san francisco is the only other county in that. category the rest of the bay area is in the orange tier with substantial transmission the next metric. they're looking at are hospitalizations and they are low and they have stayed that way and at least 80% of the total population in marin county is fully vaccinated every bay area county except solano agreed on those benchmarks. so far marin is the only one to reach them, but four counties are relaxing mask rules for a small number of places like gyms and offices.
