last check, greensboro during the morning news, temperatures were still in the 30s. some of that warmer air beginning to push westward but we are going to have a tougher time warming up. look at that, what a difference. 25 to more than 30 degrees warmer than it was yesterday. but you know, at lunchtime yesterday, we were just in the upper 20s. still trying to warm up from some of the ice and sleet and freezing rain that we saw yesterday. this is a look at the current wind speeds out of the southeast, 15 in roxboro and rocky mount, 15 in goldsboro, it's still a little breezy, but again, nothing dangerous. we still have a little bit of cloud cover. there goes our squall line the created wind damage with the trees down and power outages early this morning. we are starting to see a little bit of clearing. we will see more sunshine through the afternoon as the system pushes away from us. enjoy the nice bright disturbance that will roll through tonight to bring us some rain. yes, there is a little wintry precipitation with that double as it moves into our area this evening
