let's go live to 7's john cuoco for the latest on the investigations. good morning to you, john. >> john: good morning, nancy. we're looking potentially at one person killed, one injured, and cars covered in bullet holes. police are investigating three reported shootings here in proves to be deadly according to the "boston globe." all three happened last night. one took place on downer avenue. another on dudley street, a third on boston street. the "globe" says the man was killed around 8:00. the victim was taken to boston medical center but he later died. investigators have not made an arrest in this case. according to the "globe," police say this was the 24th deadly shooting in boston this year. officers are also looking into reports of shots being fired on rockland street. bullet holes were found in area appears to have been injured in the shooting. and finally, the "globe" says, a man who was injured in the shooting on dudley street is expected to survive. they say the man was hit in the leg at around 8:30. this victim was also taken to boston medica

john cuoco has the latest. >> reporter: officer betty shelby is a five-year veteran of the tulsa, oklahoma police officer. now she is facing serious charges. officer shelby shot and killed tress crutcher last friday. the police department originally called the shooting justified. shelby was paid on paid administrative leave immediately after the shooting. footage showed crutcher walking away slowly with his hands in the air. her attorney says crutcher into his s.u.v. window. police didn't find a weapon on him or in his vehicle. he was waiting for help when police responded to a call from a person driving by. his family has called for the officer to be charged. now the officer didn't activate her darb cam so there is no footage of what happened before other officers arrived. john cuoco 7 news. >> ryan: the family of a plaque man shot and killed by police in north carolina expected to see the videof fire. his death prompted two days of violence in the city of charlotte. >> kim: state of emergency there and the national guard called in. brandon gunnoe joins us with more. >> reporter: we just

let's go to 7's john cuoco. he has more on what investigators say really happened here. >> john: well, christa, this all happened just after midnight tuesday. this firefighter and his dog both taken away with gunshot wounds. one of lawrence's bravest arrested by lawrence's finest. early tuesday morning officers were called to the home of a was drunk and armed. when officers arrived at the home, they heard gunshots. a large dog ran outside and was acting aggressive. according to police, they felt threatened and fired at the dog, hitting it once. a firefighter, upset about his dog being shot, came to the door and surrendered with a gunshot wound to his leg. police believe he shot himself. police say they went into this firefighter's home an found several guns. he does have a license to carry, but police say that has since been revoked. the firefighter was taken lawrence general hospital where he was also arraigned. meantime, the dog was treated and is expected to be okay. this firefighter is being held without bail

let's go to 7's john cuoco who has more on the suspect today. john? >> john: christa, police say they know exactly who they're looking for, and he has a history of violence. now you can add what allegedly happened here to that list. an 81-year-old man, bloodied and brutally beaten, his hand bandaged while being loaded into an ambulance wednesday afternoon in manchester. police say they got a 911 call at around 1:00 p.m. for an assault at the food mart on maple street. investigators say a man attacked the store owner before grabbing cash and taking off. despite being injured and disoriented, the owner was able to give a description of the suspect to manchester police, and now they say they know who they're looking for. it's this man, 20-year-old ford has active warrants out for armed robbery and first-degree assault. police believe he should be considered armed and dangerous. ford is about 5'10" and weighs approximately 145 pounds. he has black hair and hazel eyes. if you know anything about the suspect or have any other information that may help polic

john cuoco is live in merrimack with more on what police are saying. john inst >> reporter: well, state police believe the fact that most of these men were likely not wearing seat belts played a big role here. if you take a look behind me. the highway has opened up. the accident has been cleared. massachusetts state police say this van had six men inside when it flipped over. and was sent rolling off 495 north in merrimack thursday morning. one man was killed in the crash. the five others were taken to four different area hospitals. state police believe it is likely that most of these men were not wearing seat belts. we are told the group were on their way to work when the van somehow went off the highway. near the exit 53 off-ramp. within the accident debris that spread across the pavement, were construction equipment. like hand tools and ladders. crews cleared all that from the road before towing the van from the scene. traffic was down to two lanes for hours, but the highway opened back up just before 10:00. and state police say they will likely be r
