natasha brown spoke with local experts today to gain insight on recognizing signs of abuse in childrenter: it is not easy as you can imagine, it is often very difficult to approach this subject and signs may not always be glaringly obvious but the number of child sex abuse allegations just in the city alone are staggering. statistics are startling there are an average of 250 reports of child sexual abuse of philadelphia each month, philadelphia children's alliance sees as many as 10 kid a day. child advocacy group is nest led between police special victims unit and department of human services in hunting park and their role is crucial in helping those entities deal with sex abuse cases. >> once we get report from the dhs or police we coordinate that investigation. we will contact families to have them come in, to be interviewed, have the child be interviewed about the allegations. >> reporter: cases are hand with the mental and medical experts on staff to deal with every child. some say that they have dealt with children as young as one years old. often a very difficult conversation to
