police slowly put up metal bar cases between this crowd and the camp in frank ogawa plaza. now they have effectively sectioned off this group of people so they don't have to deal with this group just yet. right now police are able to just focus on the plaza unless this crowd goes against the barricades and breaks them down which at this point it appears they have no intention of doing. they are peacefully watching and chanting and at some point booing the officers. they are staying within where they've been barricaded off. the police got here at 4:00 this morning this has been a slow, deliberate process different than what we saw three weeks ago when they showed up and went right in and started tearing the camp apart. the city has given an indication of when they think this will be over. city officials have scheduled a press conference for 7:00 this morning. they land to tell us how the operation went down and -- they plan to tell us how the operation went down and plan to walk through the plaza when the protester are cleared out to see the state of the plaza. they clearly h

the jackie sissel is inside frank ogawa plaza. jackie, as we show this you streaming video, all we have seen the tents come down. is that what you are seeing? >>jackie: that is exactly what is going on. about two dozen police officers moved in from the south side of frank ogawa plaza, it happened very systematically. the camera on the left is going to go to the camera that is on 14th in clay. you can see police officers ripping down the tents, one by one. this is just now happening as we speak. i just shot this video about two minutes ago. there were probably two dozen police officers in riot gear that moved into the plaza. they started tearing down tents as they went along. officers wanted to make sure that no one was inside the tents. that is that they did. many of the tents have been removed already. you can see now that they're going through there. we waited for about two hours thinking that it was gone to happen and finally they moved in. >>jackie: for the most part it appeared that protesters made their way out of the plaza

for the first time in about a month look, you can see frank ogawa plaza. bstructed by tents or the kitchen, any of the hundreds of people who have been sleeping here. even a street washer here cleaning the plaza this morning. so, they are gone. they are still again after being cleared out yesterday morning by police. there were plenty of police officers here to keep it clear overnight. 10 officers were here watching the three protesters who did spend the night here. they did not try to pitch a tent, police say they were here to make sure another tent city doesn't pop back up. occupy oakland protesters regrouped yesterday after getting kicked out of the plaza. they held a march through the streets of downtown hundreds ended up at the plaza but didn't stay overnight. they did talk about next steps. possibly taking over a vacant building or even trying to reoccupy frank ogawa plaza again. the city says it would not allow that to happen and they will keep spending money to make sure this plaza remains clear. the occupy oakland movement has already cost the city
