it's friday, december 16th i'm pam cook. >> good morning, i'm pam cook. time now is 6:30. we do have overnight news to tell you about. one man is dead after an officer involved shooting in san jose. it happened overnight on the east side of town. ktvu paul chambers was the first reporter on the scene. he is talking about what led up to the shooting. >> i spoke to the public information officer with san jose police and asked him about originally they gave us another location. about a half a mile away. he said that was a pure accident. as you can see behind me officers are on the scene. working the scene here. we have a little bit of information about this. san jose police say the shooting happened in this area. waiverly avenue. just before 11:30 several officers tried to contact an adult man. that's when officers say a man displayed threatening behavior. one officer shot the man in self-defense. the man was taken to the hospital where he died just after midnight. now once again when i spoke with the public information officer he's waiting for investigators on the scene to r
