san jose yesterday was 108. about 106 degrees so far, most fet field, san rafael tracking just a little bit cooler than yesterday but 102 is still plenty hot. another record for sana rafael, oakland, most fet field and san jose. in some cases like most fet field you've broken the record by 13 degrees today. they're 110 degrees in concord, morgan hill 109, mid-80s out towards half moon bay. we've got these hot temperatures, excessive heat warning for inland spots still going on through monday evening. we're also watching very dry conditions around the bay area. we've got a red flag morning up for our hills as humidity levels in a few spots have dropped into the teens. even bayside. swriel look at those fire conditions and a chance we could see some dry lightning strikes as moisture comes away from a tropical storm to our south. we'll look at those in about eight minutes. >>> we saw the triple digits in the east bay and the east bay is used to heat but not like this. a lot of people taking extra steps to stay cool.

san jose police are here on campus. it is not an lockdown, it is still a shelter in place because police are collecting evidence. we're not sure if a weapon -- if a knife has been recovered yet, but basically what we've been told is that at 9:00 a.m., a non-student came on to the campus behind the gymnasium area. it looks like this might be a little off campus. it's unclear but that juvenile apparently stabbed a student and it was witnessed by other students and staff members. they intervened. that's what we're told by the superintendent and san jose police immediately responded and took that juvenile into custody. they are not giving us ages but te u the victim was taken to the medical center and suffering from non-life threatening injuries. a lot of police activity is still going on here. they're interviewing students and parents are still just really worried, trying to find out how could something like this happen. we'll continue to follow up on this and give you updates later in the evening newscast. >>> this mornin
