warm front to our south. it is having a hard time getting number and here is the cold front coming through this afternoon. there is not a big opportunity for us to warm up could see some strong thunderstorm activity and the strongest is in the carolinas and georgia and that may take the steam out of the storm's we have in this area. our forecast is windy and kind of cold war to the south and showers and storms in the forecast, a 63-70 but we're only in the 40's now. it would make it to 63, i think we will be lucky. winds will be gusting past 30 miles per hour and high wind warnings will be in carroll and frederick county that starts at 3:00. we will have a wind advisory in our area around 3:00 and gail warnings on the bay. a four-foot shot of the open water. there's even a tornado watch in effect for south west virginia and parts of west virginia into the western carolinas. here is the cold front to the west of us. everything goes through by 8:00 this evening and the last of the raid should be leaving the eastern shore and we drive out. saturday afternoon, we may see a few clouds popup that maybe even a snow flurries because it will be quite a bit colde

the forecast, right now just dominating the area, dry air dryic us out from yesterday and that does does warm us up. for more we send it out to marty bass. >> jim, thank you very much. good afternoon, everybody, let's go right to radar and show you this developing area of low pressure. going to look right between dallas and essentially texarkana, that low is going to track itself toward georgia and through the carolinas. got a nice graphic showing the suggested exit off of the east coast. as it passes to our south it is going to start flinging moisture our way but it should not grab really cold air until it is off the coast and that moisture flows somewhat abates. a bang-bang timing type of issue. overnight saturday might not going below freezing, day side on sunday not anywhere near freezing. about 40 degrees, so what are we left with? a winter storm with no umphf but a lot of mess most likely snow hitting and sticking on non-paved surfaces. but there is another twist to the story and it comes monday morning. meteorologist tim williams will talk about slippery details shortly. now we will throw it back inside. >> marty, than
