we were warm yesterday, up to 63 in central park. 54 in monticello. we had a lot of clouds around and we still have some of that. the temperatures as you can see, it is a huge drop in temperatures, all the way back to 40. it is feeling more like winter. 40 in central park, newark and islip. 36 in poughkeepsie. the temperatures dropped about 6 degrees cooler in sussex. 8 degrees cooler in central park. 11 degrees cooler in islip. we are setting the stage for a change out there. showers are down to the south. we got snow to the north. notice that, that is the colder air coming into place. we have more of that that is dumping down to the tristate region. this low pressure is bringing us our wintry mix to the tristate. you can see what is going on, a lot of showers and storms along the area of low pressure, cold front, all working together and the biggest storms in arkansas and by the time it is getting here it is a wintry mix and we have a wintry weather advisory for the northern tier of the tristate and starting this we have an icy mix with sleet and ra

at monticello there were several waistcoats lined with old cut-up stockings. because he was always cold. but that's -- this is a virginia bobcat that we -- i think they got it through the state. i think it was the road kill, actually, and now it lines our reproduction cap. this is research and design. what happens here is we developed items for use in the historic area. generally, when you develop a garment for use in the historic area you like to have three things and the majority of the garments have been through this vetting process. first, you'd like to have an antique that you can study and pattern and that has some kind of attachment to the chesapeake. then, you'd like to have a period depiction of someone in that antique. finally, ideally, you have some kind of written documentation that talks about the antique, either an invoice or a letter that describes it or a bill. ideally, it would be a letter or a diary entry that says on this day, at this time, i bought this garment from, it was made for me by. that absolutely never happens. unless you're the 2%
