bay and the east bay, also the peninsula getting in on heavier rainfall. we are going to see this impact the morning commute and possibly the evening commute as well. a closer look at san jose, right now not seeing showers moving through, but it is starting to approach saratoga, coming over the santa cruz mountains, and in fremont some spots we are seeing the rain, affecting gilroy and heading toward morgan hill and for the east bay we're seeing widespread rain across contra costa county. there will be some breaks in between, maybe some peeks of sunshine, but even going into this afternoon, there's the possibility that we could see some heavier downpours and also some collapse of thunder and some flashes of lightning. so watch out for that. and then going into tonight, i just heard some heavy rain hit the roof -- no, that's just the camera moving. i thought that was some rain. we're going to see some more of those showers coming through as we go into tonight and into the day tomorrow, and then off and on showers continue even into thursday, so we won't be

bristol bay is an extraordinary place.ers meet there, traveling through 40,000 miles of tundra wetlands and lakes and collecting fresh water from some of the most pristine land on the entire planet. fresh water in bristol bay where every year tons of salmon return and largest sockeye salmon fishery. and the fish runs on bristol bay are breaking records. when you think about it, i was worried about this 10 years ago. the native people have relied on this. it supplies nearly half of the world's sockeye salmon and supports 15,000 jobs in fishing, processing and tourism. economic value estimated to be $2.2 billion. amazing thing about resources. if you want to take care of, it is impossible to put an economic price on that. once a resource is harmed or destroyed, it may be impossible to bring it back again. that's why decades ago when mining plants wanted to have a copper mine in north america right near the headwaters of bristol bay. the mine, that mine was destroyed 100 miles of streams and nearly 3,000 acres of wetlands and
