david murphy is tracking the recovery along with chris sowers. chris we'll begin with you.'m happy the storm is out of here. >> reporter: the good news it continues to pull away. snow totals ranging between one to two feet, some areas close to three feet of snow. allentown, 31.9 inches. east coventry township, 25 inches. moorestown, new jersey, 19 inches, somerdale, 16. port penn, a hair over a foot. everybody has seen at least a foot of snow and close to 3 feet. the storm pulling away. the area of low pressure was sitting down here, the winds blow in a counter clockwise fashion. where you were getting an offshore wind off the virginia capes and the carolinas, you were getting an onshore wind for the jersey beaches. the water couldn't recede because the winds were pilling it on. that's why the flooding was so bad. now that the winds have pulled away, the winds are shifting out of the northwest. the high tide will be higher than normal, but not as bad as yesterday at this time. peak windy gusts from yesterday, very, very impressive. dewey beach hurricane force winds, 75 mile

. >>> let's get more team coverage from meteorologists david murphy and chris sowers, let's start with david. >> reporter: the storm came in and it's been pounding us overnight. we have a lull, but it will not last between now and beyond you'll have periods where the heavy snow is part of the pack package. we have nor'easter churning up an form. it will be going past us, it is turning the northeasterly winds on the coast. 60-mile an hour gusts or better. by the time they make it to philadelphia, they die down to 30 to 40 miles per hour. strong gusts driving the snow into high drifts and even when you don't from the active snow coming down, you have the winds creating problems with the snow being blown on to freshly-plowed roads. we have heavier cells highlighted in purple. every time you see the areas around the region today. as you follow us through the storm. notice visibility is a little bit worse. these are not as bad as the bands we had earlier. worse bands could build in later on. we'll go in tight on some areas, especially down south of us where we have i could walk off and do t

david murphy and chris sowers are tracking the storm. david we'll start with you. >> reporter: we have a band of snow pushing through philadelphia and up into north central pennsylvania and the winds from the area of low pressure that has formed to the south this is the nor'easter that will be tracking to the north during the day and the night. is starting to push the winds from the northeast on the shore. we have a 56-mile gust in northern delaware. we got a storm report from national weather service, dewey beach, delaware has topped out at 66 miles per hour. the wind wrapping in off the ocean are blowing into philadelphia and maintaining gusts around 40 miles per hour. it's wind driven snow and in some cases it's a lot of snow. storm tracker 6 live double scan we've been looking at the bands of snow highlighted in lavender. whenever you see this on storm tracker 6 live it's the way it demonstrates heavy snow being putting down, one to three inches of snow every hour. as we take a look at storm tracker 6 live, we'll go in tight on this.
