jillian mele has that. jillian? >> good morning, chris. we still have a closure on the blue route right now. northbound side blocked off for quite some time this morning. completely blocked off at interstate 76. this is only impacting the northbound side of the blue route, but closed between exit 16 and 18 a which is 76 and conshohocken. this is all that activity still out there. two-vehicle accident and one person has died as a result of their injuries. the blue route is totally shut down. the exits and on ramps are also shut down this morning and they are going to be closed through the extent of this cleanup and investigation that has to go on. on the map right now, this is where the closure point is happening on the blue route northbound literally right at 76. the accident it self happened between these two point on the blue route northbound. traffic is going to be diverted on to 76. go ahead and take 76 westbound out to the interchange with the pennsylvania turn pike. from there, you can get on the turn pike eastbound. that will put yo

for that, let's go to jillian mele. jillian, how can drivers get around this? avoid the area altogether. >> let me tell you about the backup that is happening right now. 95 at bridge street and the delay southbound is incredible. about five miles right now as they make their way from approaching cottman and sky force moves that delay just massi massive. northbound not that bad. here's how you can get around it, take the aramingo avenue on ramp and that will put you on 95 past the accident and past that delay. that's what you're going to want to do or you can take the boulevard if you want to get around it. neither of those are good options but speeds are averaging in the teens right now for miles. that is a really big delay and traffic is moving along very slowly and an accident involving an overturned tractor trailer and northeast extension about three miles south of that interchange, a four-mile delay in that area, as well. >>> cold start this morning, but we've got sunshine. that's bright, sunny view from center city where the temperatures have dropped down

jillian mele is watching traffic trouble on this friday morning. >> the blue route northbound is still shut down between 76 and conshohocken and this is a lot of that activity that you're seeing out here right now. in the last 15 minutes, really, this van has been hooked up to a tow. another vehicle involved in this accident and quite a bit of police activity out at the scene. here's what we know right now as far as this accident goes. the accident happened around 2:00 this morning and it is confirmed that one person has died from their injuries and another taken to a local hospital. a two-vehicle accident and that van, as i mentioned, is hooked up to the tow. it has been hooked up for the last ten minutes. it's not going anywhere just yet. as a result of this accident, the ramp from 76 to the blue route northbound are blocked off. you can see crews have flairs out there and officials blocking these ramps. no one can access the blue route northbound this morning between 76 and conshohocken. this is a problem for drivers who need to access the northeast extension or pennsylvania turnpik

first, jillian mele has traffic. good morning, jillian. >> good morning to you, bill. we've had a number of accidents this morning and we continue to follow a bunch of them right now. tow truck got to the scene of this accident on 95 southbound side right near the philadelphia international airport. it's on the shoulder, not blocking anything, and the tow truck is there now, so it should be out of there soon. it's been out there 20 minutes, but it's not creating a slowdown in the area. this is a serious accident, though, in montgomery county, worcester township, right near the intersection of stump hall road and green hill road, so use caution if you're headed in that direction. we have an accident that happened hours ago on the southbound side of the new jersey turnpike, right as you approach the delaware memorial bridge. that accident involves an overturned tractor-trailer. so, two lanes are still blocked right now. traffic can get by, though, but it's going to take some time for that to get completely cleared. you can expect a little tap of the brakes there. and for

. >>> jillian mele and katz zachary live on the scene on 95. katy? >> if you look behind me, some progress has been made in the last half hour when i last saw you. a tow truck is on scone getting ready. at least putting the things in place it needs to to upright this overturned trash truck. around 3:30 this morning. this trash truck was traveling southbound on 95 right before the exit for bridge street. it apparently, the driver lost control. state police say he may have fallen asleep at the wheel and he may have had a medical emergency and either way he lost control and the tractor trailer overturned on the median and is taking out several lanes in both directions. northbound traffic has been grossly affected for the last hour and a half. ee only one lane in either direction is getting by. workers tell me the best case scenario they expect the tractor trailer to be uprighted and towed by 6:30. they are hoping penndot can come in with front end loader and remove all the trash that is strewn about the northbound lanes. that is best case scenario. we k

jillian mele has an update on what's happening. >> 95 in both directions is impacted as a result of this accident. this is the southbound side of 95 right at bridge street. the back end of that overturned tractor trailer. all the debris scattered out on 95 southbound. it was trash that truck was carrying that was all over 95. you'll notice the cone there. that is implying the right lane of traffic getting by in this area and we've seen the right lane of traffic getting by in that area and that is the good news of the situation of drivers on 95. at least one lane is getting by and i'll step out of the way. you'll see more of that overturned tractor trailer. what happened is this tractor trailer was traveling right near bridge street and overturned and also overturned into the part of the northbound lanes, as well. not only seeing lane restrictions southbound, but also seeing lane restrictions n and you can see the front end of the tractor trailer just landed and we have two lanes blocked on 95 northbound and multiple lanes on 95 southbound. but as i mentioned traffic is getting by. let's
