i'm maria medina. >> i'm brian hackney. breaking news in daly city this morning.oman is stuck on a cliffside along with two dogs. anne makovec is at thornton state beach with the latest. >> reporter: good morning. rescuers did not know if they were going to try to rappel down to try to get her or if the coast guard was going to bring its helicopter and get her off this cliff. it's 150 feet from where we are standing straight down the cliff. she is standing there now with two dogs. it turns out it looks like the coast guard is going to get her in about 30 minutes once the sun comes up. they are going to rescue her by helicopter. a man and woman were walking with two dogs when they fell down the cliff. the man fell to the beach below. he pulled himself up and went to find help. emergency crews found the woman and those two dogs about 50 feet up from the beach. now, one dog is standing there with her. the other is a few yards away. and crews on the ground have been waiting to see what the coast guard might be able to do. >> if they can get to her before we can then t

i'm maria medina. >> friday is right around the corner. >> hi, everyone.a serial arsonist in jail. the blazes started in april and continued into the summer sometimes near homes in 8 cities. the hot spots with 4, 24 and marsh creek road. anne makovec is in lafayette with more. >> good morning. >> reporter: there were a lot of similarities between a lot of these fires including the fact that they were all set along highways. i'm here along highway 24 in lafayette which is where one of these fires was set. they were also all set under the cover of darkness in the early-morning hours between midnight and 5 a.m. here's a look at the suspect in this case. 29-year-old james wilson. he was arrested in bay point yesterday at his home. some of the fires he is accused of setting, a 20-acre fire in bay point on july 20th. and then 8 acres in lafayette on the 28th. then two days later, a series of small fires burned a hillside off highway 24. this guy's accused of setting 30 fires since april. >> it is not unusual for serial arsonists to escalate at some point. most d

good afternoon, i'm maria medina. >> hi, everyone. i'm frank mallicoat. the department says the unusual move is to help clear up misinformation. kpix 5's anne makovec saw the videos. >> reporter: the police only invited, quote, major media outlets to view these videos. they didn't allow to us take in any recording equipment. all we can do was take notes. the first video oakland police presented showed what happened as they shot and killed nate wilkes last week after a high- speed chase in a stolen car. the robbery suspect crashed at 27th and northgate. that's when the foot chase began and that is where the video picked up the story. it was difficult to see what was happening. the body camera mounted on the officer's chest jolted up and down as he ran. you could hear officers yelling drop the gun and sirens. in and out of frame you could city a man running down the sidewalk. he did appear to turn around and head back toward officers. officers say he was holding this gun. but the only image of a gun in the video was a shadow. in that image it's not pointed
