let's turn now to meteorologist mike nicco. e'a lot of fuel for fires in this state right now, mike. >> that's the drawback. you have an excellent winter season, rain season, if you will. but, yeah, that leads to fresh vegetation that eventually dies either way it extra fuel for seems like. back here at home, we are inwinning, thankfully if you're trying to get in and out of sfo, no delays. 56 degrees under a partly cloudy sky. have sunglasses handy. it will be cool with partly cloudy conditions, more cloud cover near the coast and less as you head inland. it will be warm to hot around our bay and inland neighborhoods. over the weekend we had obnoxiously hot temperatures. a couple systems chipped away at it. looks like the winds aren't going to be quite as fast today. that's going to lead to slightly warmer temperatures as we talked about, we would have minor fluctuations as these two areas battle each other out. highs will win a little bit today. low to mid 80s in the south bay. 78 the cool spot as you head towards milpitas. mi

here's mike nicco. >> here's a look at san jose where it's mostly clear right now. we look north along 87. we will have high clouds this afternoon and comfortable temperatures again today. independence day, i think the comfortable temperatures will last up until thursday, and then we kind of flip the switch a little bit, especially for friday, saturday and sunday. we will try and squeeze in maybe 90 degrees as the warmest temperature. we have an area of high pressure that dominates our forecast just off the coast, and not the case, we have a low to the north and a high to the south. look with their eggbeater-like flow, or your mixer-like flow, however you want to say it, that cool air from the gulf of alaska moves into our neighbors and that's why we are dealing with cooler than average temperatures. look at this, mid to upper 70s really comfortable. mid-80s in morgan hill. we have temperatures in the upper 60s to mid-70s. low 60s along the coast. san francisco, temperatures nearing 80 and mid-80s in the north bay. low to mid-70s elsewhere. as you head into the east
