north wildwood police have not been able to find a swimmer who disappeared in the swift currents of this inlet. the search resumes this morning. the unidentified man disappeared early tuesday morning the same day that a 17-year-old girl drowned in a lake in old mining quarry. police say it's never safe to swim in a quarry. >> it could drop from three foot to 20 feet to 40 feet and 60 foot immediately and no climbing back up. particularly if you're a weaker swimmer. >> officials say the drowning was the fourth at that quarry since 1984. in wildwood a watch tower is being built to give the lifeguards an easier view of swimmers. >>> coming up on nine minutes after 5:00. temperatures in the 60s and low 70s right now. clear skies but clouds on the way and i'm tracking showers for parts of the area today. watching for the chance of showers for fourth of july. right now, it is dry and cool in doylestown. scattered clouds and 66. dry on beach avenue in cape may but clouds heading towards the shore and towards delaware. with those clouds a chance of scattered showers today. radar shows it's dry f

it's 85 at north wildwood because of the west wind. the land breeze during the day tomorrow makes a big difference rather than the sea breeze. the main threat during the afternoon, if any, is localized flooding because of those small but very intense showers that may be developing. just some light showers around right now. very little activity but we have seen sprinkles in and around the philadelphia area. there's more activity back to the west right now. nothing severe at the moment nothing threatening at the moment. as the day goes on computer models are showing an increase in the number of showers. and a little bit of intensity, too. those little red dots there, those are small but very heavy showers with some real downpours with them. there's a lot of moisture in the atmosphere atmosphere. you can see a lot around by 4:00 but then it starts dying out by 6:00 and into the evening. we're talking mainly an afternoon issue with scattered showers and thunderstorms. locally heavy. highs in the upper 80s. seven-day forecast even more acti

north wildwood police posted surveillance pictures of the crime on their facebook page. the two teens were charged and handed over to their parents. >> speaking of cash. business owners are trying to help police catch the person who blew up an atm last night. police are combing through surveillance video showing the explosion. officers went to sixth and luzerne last night for a shooting. instead they found the atm blown to bits. no one was hurt by the exploding pieces of metal which flu up to 100 feet. police don't believe any money was taken. >> a judge preserved a settlement. another part of the settlement will bring affordable housing to a section of cherry hill. the owner of woodcrest country club sued the township. cherry hill will pay no more than $400 on the agreement. affordable housing will be built on the city but not on the golf course. >>> a move to pair suds with hoagies at a delaware county iowa store is on hold for now. concord township's board of supervisors pushed back its decision whether the iowa on naamans creek roads will add beer to its shelves. >>>

those temperatures in the 80s in much of the area now, but 79 in cape may harbor 80 degrees in north wildwood. we have had mostly a land breeze during the day today. that's why it's so warm in sea isle city. inland at ocean view where it's normally cooler, or normally warmer, it is actually cooler. atlantic city marina getting a little bit of wind off the bay, 77 degrees right there. so it is just a beautiful, beautiful day from the poconos to the shore and hardly any clouds around and very little moisture to our west until you get, well west of chicago. then it's just going to continue to warm up. watch the future cast. as we go through the evening we are plotting the clouds and any rain so we are certainly not seeing anything tonight. then by tomorrow morning, there are still places in the 50s again. third night in a row it's going to be in the 50s in allentown. tomorrow, nothing in the way of clouds here. 11:00 a.m. already up to 85. this model has us getting up near 90 degrees tomorrow and generally cloud-free. as we go into sunday it's getting a little more humid so the low temperatures

temperatures in the 80s across much of the area and even in cape may and north wildwood we've got 80 degrees because it's a land breeze. so sea isle city same temperature, just about, as the inland areas. what about in atlantic county? atlantic city marina 77. northfield is 80. nothing like those kind of big contrasts you can get at this time of year when you start getting sea breezes. we will get a little more of that as we head over the weekend. we won't get a whole lot more moisture. there's a lot of dry air around and it's going to stay that way. this is the future cast showing hour by hour as we go through 11:00 tonight and overnight, we are down into the 50s north and west. we are in the 70s toward the shore. it's staying pretty warm there. during the day tomorrow getting well up into the 80s. this particular model takes us to near 90 but it's also bringing in the sea breeze tomorrow afternoon which we haven't seen in the last couple days. that's going to be a change. then here we go saturday night and into sunday still not much in the way of cloud cover. lot of sunshine here e

while it's 94 in cape may, it's 87 in north wildwood. getting a little bit of relief there.ape may court house, 92. ocean view 93. atlantic city marina 85. just inland in northfield 95 degrees. wasn't like that all day. it was pretty hot at the beaches. 104 is the way it feels in dover. so it's way more humid in southern parts of the area than northern parts of the area. everybody's going to get a little bit of a break from the humidity tomorrow. we have one pretty heavy shower now right near lewes, delaware and it's not moving very much so some places getting a lot of rain and most of us are getting nothing. we just have isolated showers around, as you see on future cast, as we go into the next few hours. tomorrow, not a whole lot there. certainly not in the morning. we could see an isolated shower or storm developing during the afternoon. we've got a front coming through that will be providing less humid air. so it will cool off a little bit but the humidity is going to be the huge difference that will be out there. by wednesday, there's nothing on the radar. there are no

north wildwood police tell us they have arrested a third person wanted for swiping a cash register from morey's piers. the register is worth $2400. authorities charged the man with theft and other offenses. two teenagers were also arrested. >>> the beaches are closed in central pennsylvania state park after dozens of swimmers became sick. 29 swimmers became ill with norovirus possibly from e. coli bacteria in the water at cowans gap state park. the beaches are closed to swimmers. fishing and boating are still allowed. this is located about 60 miles west of harrisburg. >>> tonight crews will spray to kill mosquitos in several montgomery county communities. it's happening in areas where sampling has shown mosquitos carry the west nile virus, including parts of abington township. cheltenham township is also included. crews will spray from 8:30 to 11:30 tonight. >>> a lot of questions surround the arrest of a texas woman who was later found dead in her jail cell. >> family members believe there was foul play. tonight, prosecutors releasing more evidence about what happened while she was in
