mike inouye is on that. >> we can show you we have all this activity above the roadway, that's rain. the green blobs right here, and over here in san jose is where the bleaking news is. everything else moves smoothly. 101 northbound completely blocked northbound right about mckee road, just past the on-ramp. the on-ramp i'm told is also shut down by san jose p.d. and the chp, and the reason is, there's an overturned dump truck. in addition to that, chp confirmed to someone at least one person died as a result of this crash, and because there will be a crash investigation, that will take quite some time to clear it. that is the impact on your roadway and we're concerned about the impact on the people and related parties. there may be another crash north 60 at barriessa. 101 northbound, let me get back in here, sorry, producers, northbound 280 to 87 is your alternate right now and 680 as well. as the traffic builds, for a while, this traffic will become a problem for the south bay. pack to you. >> let's talk about the weather right now. rain is coming down. let's check in with kari hal

mike inouye is getting us up to speed on that problem there happening in fremont, mike. what is the latest? >> marcus and kira, we have still the full closure of the northbound side of 880, and as dametrujillo told us he's on scene there and saw chp close the off-ramp at fremont cushing providing the only equity for folks backed up, for only a mile approaching the tesla plant on the right side, that's how you know that'sed northbound direction of the nimitz. if that's what you take, do not take it this morning. looking at northbound 880, it is jammed up from dixon landing road, the build out of the south bay now, approaching mission. some folks were feeding off of mission. it stopped for a while, and then it looked like traffic was again allowed on mission, feeding into the backup. now, i've seen in the last few minutes some folks start to move in the area. warm springs boulevard, fremont boulevard on the other side, the western side, those will be options for you. the distraction causing a slow down southbound coming out of union city, fremont and milpit s milpitas. the

checking in with mike inouye to see how that morning commute is looking. this is 101 northbound?ve shot, hasn't changed much over the last half hour. we have rain on the roadways and jammed traffic. rain all over the bay is the concern for everyone but down in the south bay, first we focus on the traffic north 101, still only one lane past the deadly crash at mckee north 101 is jammed for four or five miles on the approach. we put that radar back up on there. you see 101 jammed up off the 85 split. 87 also sees more traffic off of 85, because folks are trying to get out of the backup so they're moving around the rest of san jose, that is affecting the ripple effect as we talk about. we see the radar out there. kari, we're talking about wet roadways and you have the forecast. ? mostly across the south bay as well as the north bay. we haven't seen much wet weather in parts of the bay area. we are tracking is all on storm ranger, even as of 1:00 the north bay may have soggy conditions. the rest of the bay area is in for a break and we'll see mostly partly cloudy skies for tomorrow,
