north bay. so our inland areas will still have some very warm temperatures, but we are starting to get just enough of an ocean breeze to cool it o for the coast as well as the bay. starting tomorrow, our fire danger increases, mainly because we'll have a shift in the wind and we could see some gusts up to 55 miles per hour. we haven't yet had this combination where we have really high winds and then critically low humidity and that also matches up with a lot of dry fuels out there. so we have this dry descending air and low humidity that will combine starting tomorrow morning and continue through thursday, and that's the reason why we have the red flag warning in effect for all of the areas shaded in red. we'll be watching also for the potential that the power could be shut off in some of those areas and we are going to have a cooldown that continues for the rest of the week and also continuing through the weekend. >>> mike, you're tracking more delays on highway 101. >> part of the continuing l

are all the way from the santa cruz mountains the east bay, the delta the north bay, a good part of the bay area under those red flag warnings tomorrow into thursday and that will really be the peak of those gusty winds, but i want to show you too it's not just the winds is the fact that it is going to be bone dry outside some of the driest conditions we've seen all year long. here's a look at the forecast on the amount of moisture humidity in the air right now we've had a bit of a sea breeze sort, 96% very moist. 100% we're talking about some rain drops right. that's right along the coastline here in half moon bay. but watch what happens we begin to see the wind shift becoming more northerly he had that dry air coming from right over massive united states and said again that ocean breeze all of a sudden. you're looking a 6% in sonoma 6% in the napa valley that is extremely dry 7% in a fairfield that in the afternoon on wednesday. 70% under into but look at san francisco.only 20% relative humidity. that means going to see a strong enough normally component win to keep you dry and on

of the inland east bay.nto tonight, we won't see as cool. the temperatures mostly dropping back into the low 60s. as we get ready for our winds to pick up and a fire weather watch to go into effect for tomorrow, starts at noon, and then continues through thursday afternoon. and for all of these areas shaded in orange, those are the elevations above 1,000 feet, that's wre we'll have the highest fire danger, as high pressure builds. we're seeing more of a northerly wind and then it starts to turn a little bit more offshore. that's going to make it dry out, and we'll also have some very warm air. going into the weekend we'll see some changes as this storm system drops into the pacific northwest, and delivers some much cooler air for us, but it will still be windy. so we are going to see some very hot temperatures for this time of year. for the rest of the week, for our inland areas, some upper 80s and low 90s, but then it will cool off and stay windy on sunday. mike, commuters will like it on the bay bridge. >>

for the north bay and for the rest of the bay area, unhealthy for sensitive groups if you have breathing problems or young people or the elderly may have problems in this smoke-filled air as we go throughout the day. here is a look at the wind direction starting out this morning with some of those gusts at about 20 to 30 miles per hour in the lower areas. then as we go into the rest of the day, we start to see the wind direction changing, the winds will calm down. mostly as we go into the afternoon, we're looking at winds at about 10 to 15 miles per hour. we have been talking about this short little break of some calm winds before we start to see the winds picking up and by tomorrow afternoon and into the evening, the north bay will start to get some gusty winds once again. so i'll have more on that coming up in a few minutes, mike, chp is warning act the bridges. >> it's because of the winds overnight. i know you're talking about them dying down or at least getting less of an issue. we still have the warning. golden gate bay bridge. that's not usually on the list but we will follow that
