gray skies, across the bay area, let's check in with meteorologist christina loren. christina, notable difference this morning. >> at this time yesterday, kris, sam, we had sunshine and 70s in the city. this time it is cloudy, we're still in the low 60s, and this time lapse really tells the story. i want to show you pacifica from about 7:00 this morning. now let me set the time lapse in motion for you. typically we see the clouds clear throughout the day, but not when there's a storm brewing. as a matter of fact, we are mostly cloudy here getting ready for our first showers. you can see from the radar picture, not far off from our first showers reaching into the north bay, so let me zoom in and show what they are expecting as far as the timing of the bulk of the moisture. you see the light green there below the main front, that's prefrontal precipitation already impacting parts of the north bay. if this big blob of moisture, the red, orange, yellow, that's the heavy stuff and going to move in throughout the evening, expecting arrival in santa rosa 4:00 this afternoon.

here's meteorologist christina loren. >> they ducked the heat, the first time, because they were out of town. >> they're coming back to kind of in between. the good news is that wind is likely going to play a factor and our boys know how to behave when the wind is blowing out towards center field. all it's going to take is a good 15 to 25 mile-per-hour wind gust to pick up and carry that ball. watch for the flags to blow out in that direction for the start of the game. then by about the fifth, sixth inning you'll notice the ball turning more toward mccovey cove. we could be talking about a splashdown before the day is done. we're talking about 56 in beautiful san jose. i hope you had a great weekend. i know it was kind of hot. it doesn't look like we're going to return for those levels, at least for the next 15 to 20 days. i think we are going to be done with the triple digit heat. mostly clear inland valley to kick off the day. that means it's going to be hot later on today. you will notice more coastal cloud moving in and for us that's really going to bring in cooling for tomorrow.

meteorologist christina loren has been tracking the system that will hit during the festivities. >> i think we're going to get heavy down pours throughout tomorrow. we could pick up an inch of rain from a single storm system, and it's unfortunate the giants didn't win the night before. remember that tough game, because look at how beautiful it is. would have had the parade for today. tomorrow, this is what we're working with in terms of the timing of this shower activity. i can tell you right now, 7:00 a.m. mostly to the north of the golden gate bridge, but at that point rich moise dhur moving in, indicated by yellow and orange. at that point, though, nice and dry, nice and clear from the tri-valley all the way through the south bay. watch what happens. we continue that future cast at 10:00 a.m. people are out there setting up, trying to get spots for the parade in san francisco. the heaviest moisture starts to come through, and this is going to continue for a good five to six hours. we're talking about some really heavy rainfall totals, but the good news is, for trick or treaters out
