. >> "eyewitness news" reporter justin finch is live at northeast detectives with the very latest on this story, justin? >> reporter: good morning, that is right, one teen suspect is now under arrest for two crimes, a home invasion and armed hold up. he spent most of his night and overnight here in northeast detectives. lets get to you video from the investigation, overnight, first call came into police around 11:00 when an armed home invasion on the the 2,000 block of oakmont street in the rhawnhurst section where a second district police were met by husband and wife both age 53 telling police they were attacked and robbed by a 19 year-old man who pistol whipped that male rick tim and shot his gun in the floor. that suspect got the away on floor with the lap top and prescription pills, and then reports of another robbery about one block away. a 28 year-old woman, robbed at gunpoint, her purse snatched, her suspect description matched the one the couple gave, went out over police radio and teen was captured a short time later just a few blocks away running police say as he was seen di

the man later died at the hospital, but as "eyewitness news" reporter justin finch tells us it didn't take long for investigators to track down two suspects. >> reporter: crime scene investigation spanning 700 block of west ansbury street overnight here close to 11:00 p.m. thursday 25th district police got calls of the man shot. >> one projectile was actually found right where the victim was laying. >> reporter: victim aged 42 was found lying on the sidewalk with at least one shot to his head. the investigators say it is likely at least four shots were fired, and some at very close range. he was taken to temple university hospital where he died. witnesses report a man in a gray hooded sweat shirt running from the scene, after the gun fire, and this white sedan speeding off. those details went out over police radio as that white sedan was found virtually around corner by eighth and and police found two men in that gray sweat shirt. what they are after now is a motive and account for the victim's final moments. >> he was on the sidewalk just inches from his front steps, just a few inche

"eyewitness news" reporter justin finch joins us from outside lincoln high school in mayfair, justin. >> reporter: brooke and jim, good morning, on campus and on line there is talk about this student teacher involved in a brawl at lincoln high caught on camera. we now know that philadelphia police are charge ago this 16 year-old with aggravated assault. and here's a look at video in question now making round on social media we are blurring faces. police say an in class argument between that lincoln teacher and students triggered this fight. at the end of the class in the hallway eyewitnesses say the fisticuffs began with the first punch reportedly thrown by the 16 year-old, video later shows both teacher and student trading blows. now "eyewitness news" is withholding the name of that teacher, involved and witnesses say that the fight was violent, and city school superintendent doctor william hite says he will get more details about this from lincoln high's principal. >> i saw him throw one punch. but kid was throwing a lot of punches. the kid swung and hit him right here and it opened

"eyewitness news" reporter justin finch is live where fire fighters say they have had a tough time putting a fire out, justin. >> reporter: brooke and jim, that is right, tough time and so much this morning that this fire was not as bad as it could have been right now we are told there are no injuries to the public or to fire fighters, again a big relief. at this church brick basement helped contain that late night fire that could have been so much worse. looking at video from overnight about 11:45 last night pennsauken fire department, pulled up to the 7500 block of river road where they found heavy smoke rising from the temple of praise ministry lower level. fire officials say 120 year-old wood framed church basement was in fact burning and in that dark heavy smoke their fire fight was challenging. stacked tables, chairs and other furnishing made maneuvering difficult. so they called in a second alarm to boost their manpower helping them to get this fire contained at 12:45 this morning. with the shot still settling in some members are moving to sunday service planning. >> we have not dec
