some spots as we continue to see all of this bright red from east palo alto toward freemont and down to san jose extending into the south county right now. this is where the atmospheric river is targeting this point and it's starting to get heavier towards the tri-valley and pleasonton and livermore and riding toward the north towards brighter colors meaning more intense rainfall. the wide view of this storm system, it has been over the same area for the past several hours. seeing the rain it's going to continue. if it's dry right now it most likely will stay dry for a while. let's talk about how much rain we've measured. take a look at some of these numbers. in the santa cruz mountains we've gotten over 7 inches of rain at summit road. morgan hill, mt. diablo over 3 inches, danville over an inch and a half and seen those rainfall totals anywhere from 1 to 2 inches across many microclimates. it continues to come down and we have more on the way. today it becomes more scattered and there will be the chance that some of these scattered showers could bring in some thunderstorms, especially late this morning into the aftern
