alison: thank you. reaction to the 20-year prison sentence for a young man who killed two classmates while drinking and driving. the judge suspended all but four years of the sentence for sam ellis. montgomery county reporter kevin lewis is live in rockville. kevin, some are asking why the judge sealed r that is a move that seems to protect the defendant here. kevin: certainly alison. notably, jailhouse phone calls where mcelroy was record -- ellis was recording telling his cyster he -- anotherer he wanted to be at the beach. they want all 20 hours of his phone calls released to the public. but the problem is montgomery county circuit court judge robert greenberg will not lift the court-ordered seal. kevin: the consensus is that samuel ellis got off easy he had faced up to 20 years in prison for facing two friends in a drunk driving crash. the judge sentenced to teen the four years with a chance of parole after one. >> what is more, ellis had january 2014, marijuana with the intent to distribute. februa

alison: thank you. also tonight, the police are out with a composite sketch of a sex assault suspect. it happened friday in the lorton area. that suspect is believed to be about 5'6". leon: at this hour, a virginia man accused of heading overseas and joining isis appeared in federal court in alexandria today. mohamad khweis surrendered to kurdish forces in iraq and flown back to the d.c. area. he is charged with providing material support for isis. today in baltimore, caesar goodson, the officer driving the van in which freddie gray suffered a fatal spinal injury went on trial and he is facing the most serious of the charges. second-degrem that goodson took gray on a rough ride as it is called. the defense claims the officer did nothing wrong. alison: today, thousands began to say their final goodbyes to the late, great muhammad ali. friends and fans gathered in louisville for a traditional muslim prayer service. it was the first part of a memorial service ali planned himself with an interfaith memorial

alison: thank you. meanwhile, a deadly 24 hours in northern virginia with four shootings in four different places. it started last night in culpeper. another in stafford. this afternoon, two people died in separate incidents in annandale and alexandria. we begin in old town where mike carter-conneen went to a murder along street. mike: around 12:30 this afternoon, police say 28-year-old pierre clark was shot and killed on the 1000 block of montgomery street in old town alexandria. residential area. busy area. a few blocks from the old town tourist district. clark suffered trauma to the upper body. multiple gunshot wounds. transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead one hour later. homicide detectives canvassed the area talking to witnesses who tell me it was quiet this afternoon when suddenly they hearted about six rapid gunshots -- heard about six rapid gunshot. they looked and they saw clark's body on the sidewalk. they are upset and angry after another fatal shooting in the area. especia
