comcast sports net's john clark is here with more on the news that left some surprised but a lot of people have opinions about this. john? >> reporter: when i got the e-mail from the eagles after 7:00, i had to look at it several times to believe. it said the eagles released chip kelly and i was stunned. i was looking to see if it was a fake e-mail. it shocked everybody. i think what shocked everybody was the timing because you have one game left in the season and this is not like the eagles owner, he went through the last year of ray rhodes at 3-13, the last year of andy reid at 4-12. chip kelly came from oregon as one of the most innovative college football coaches out there after starting out 19-9 he's gone 7-12 over his last 19 games and really there are some bad blows as the eagles lost 5 of 7 but i think there's more to it than that. i know a lot ofliers necessarily didn't agree with some methods. he didn't endear himself to the eagles that he cut and maybe there was a disconnect with chip kelly and the players and maybe chip kelly and people above him at the eagles. those are all qu
