george spencer is live in west philly with an update on the officers' conditions. fill us in, george. >> reporter: rosemary, just in the past five minutes or so a higher up here told me a guardian angel was with these officers, they are out of the hospital but will require follow-up. a fast-paced and frightening crash after a pursuit that started over dark tinted windows. a viewer sent us this eyewitness view of the crash. you can see some of the responding officers moving quickly. it all apparently began around 10:00 last night, the driver of a black cadillac took off when police tried to pull him over. then at 59th and master that t-boned an suv sending it into a street light. neighbors who watched the pursuit and the crash say the cadillac driver was going fast on residential streets. >> they were coming up at least doing 80 miles per hour plus must. didn't want to stop. ran through the red light. >> hit the cop. >> hit the cop head on. yes. >> reporter: as sky force 10 flew over the scene last night we can tell you two officers were injured suffering cuts to the

george spencer joins us live from west philadelphia. what do we know? >> reporter: chris, sounds like all of this started around 10:00 last night when officers tried to pull over the driver of a cadillac for dark tinted windows. instead of stopping the driver took off. new this morning we have video from an eye witness that shows the aftermath of the crash that followed. in that video you can see some of the responding officers moving around the scene quickly. the suspect apparently t-boned a police suv at 59th and master. the force of that crash sent the suv over the curb, slamming into a street light, then knocking into a house. police tell us inside the cadillac they found a bag of what appeared to be marijuana. one neighbor who was just getting home at the time watched it all happen. >> as soon as i get out of the car i see the car fly past me at a high rate of speed and look up and he had hit head on with a police car. >> sky force 10 flew over the scene last night, two officers were injured with some cuts to their nose and some head injuries. they

reporting in pensburg borough, george spencer, nbc 10 news. >>> new information in a cold case. bail is denied for the man charged with raping and killing a 14-year-old bucks county girl more than three decades ago. george shaw was arraigned in court this morning. family members of the victim, barbara rowan, were also in the courtroom. rowan had been babysitting shaw's daughter at his home back in 1984, before she went missing. her body was found weeks later. but it took 31 years for police to arrest shaw. prosecutors say in the meantime, shaw raped a 69-year-old montgomery county woman. he was extradited from florida. >>> the break in the murder case came from robert sanders, who admitted to helping shaw dispose of the girl's body. it tied shaw to the crime in testimony before a grand jury. >>> more grief for the owner of the southwest philadelphia auto tag shop. a man was stabbed 20 times by a robber on thursday. and somebody broke into the auto tag store. there are no suspects in either crime. >>> hundreds of people from the transgender community and their supporters rallied

george spencer found out more how the incident at community college of philadelphia unfolded yesterday and how students are feeling today. >> reporter: for college leaders yesterday's incident another remind that schools like ccp are effectively always on high alert. and a campus wide security update, details how yesterday's event happened and the mood at this school. this student cell phone video captured the s.w.a.t. teams arriving on campus yesterday responding to reports of a gun on campus. after a lockdown and major police response, no gun was ever found. and yet for many uneasiness lingers. >> any little thing is a problem. starts like shock and fear between everybody. >> reporter: at campus meetings students and staff discuss concerns. the university now says incident began after two young men, one a current student, the other a former student, argued near a coffee bar here at the building, it was 20 minutes later, the university says, before one of those students reported to philly police the other had a gun. but police confirmed, no other witnesses ever reported seeing it. >>

george spencer is live in our digital operations center where he just got new information. what did investigators say, george? >> they believe this man and his wife were targeted for money, money that the family did not even have in their home. police have also verified the identity of this victim. 50-year-old tony harris was a father of three children, one of those kids just ten months old. police say harris was shot in the head last night shortly after 11:00 when three armed men stormed in through his unlocked front door. robbers pushed his wife back into the kitchen at gunpoint and shot him in the living room as those little kids slept upstairs. the whole time the robbers were demanding cash that this small time electronics and smartphone repairman didn't even have. >> the money, so sort of lets us believe that they felt it was a large amount of money somewhere in the house. why they thought that, we don't know. we'll get to the bottom of it, though. >> around the same time police were called to this car crash. that chevy malibu was originally found upsidedown in the road

>> george spencer, thank you. so here's a timeline of the investigation into kathleen kane's alleged leak of secret information. back in march of 2014 kane allegedly leaked confidential grand jury information about an investigation into former naacp leader. in november of 2014, kane testified before another grand jury about the alleged leak of information. in april of this year, a grand jury recommends kane be charged. in august, montgomery county prosecutors charged her with perjury, obstructing the administration of law, conspiracy, and false swearing. kane pleaded not guilty. on september 21st, it was ordered her license be temporarily suspended and as of this morning 12:01, kane can no longer practice law. >>> tonight democrats in new jersey's state senate overrode a gun control law, that's a first for the governor. tensions flared in the senate today with some lawmakers exchanging bitter words over gun legislation and mental health. the bill in question is designed to alert police and judges if someone with a
