but this is the remnants of what was hurricane nicole. spiraling across the u.s..here you have, it the winter storms of the north. the tropical systems in the southeast. and this is going to usher in, and garner in, a complete change across the u.s.. and i'll show you that in just one second. by the way, we have a tornado watch in place for places across south carolina. and portions of north carolina as well. and shifts into portions of the mid-atlantic for the day on friday. these two systems are almost going to do a dance. what i mean by that is, the moisture that is the rainfall associated with the remnants will actually be swept up by the cold front that is producing the snow across the upper midwest. they combine to produce an extremely wet weekend for the east coast. so we've got -- in place. if you're traveling anywhere across the corridor, some of the airports. syracuse, pittsburgh, as well as columbus to cleveland. richmond. the potential here for flash flooding exists. where you're seeing that shading of yellow? that is where the mid-atlantic, the norther

and unfortunately one more to deal with hurricane nicole now just became a hurricane.>> sustained winds at 75 miles per hour. just 25 miles east-northeast of freeport in the bahamas. so as we zoom in here, you can see as we get into the overnight tonight, it is slated to go ashore as a category one. it looks anywhere between say west palm beach and daytona beach and then it heads inland. it goes right across florida. and that is, you know, a lot of a big population center there. there is. you can see it is right off the coast right now, throwing some of those showers right onto the shore. now we see those yellows and oranges. that's where those heavier showers are going to be rolling. and so that's going to be a rough ride for them. there's no doubt about it. we'll see how that works out in the overnight tonight. coming back to the bay live look outside. we've had some clouds out there, but it's been a pretty nice day to dry out and get a little sunshine back. temperatures have been cool in the 50's and 60's. well, almost the 60's, right. pittsburgh's at 62 right now,
