we kick off our team coverage with meteorologist kari hall, who is tracking where the wet weather is at this hour. kari. so much rain. but you say the bay area certainly needs it. we need it, but not all at once. and we got a month's amount of rainfall all in one day. as we take a look at how much rain we measured in santa rosa, 6.92 just yesterday, and the old record was 6.09. that happened in 2021. so that was once again more than a month's worth of rainfall. that all happened in 24 hours. and we are seeing those significant rainfall totals all across the north bay with calistoga at about 6.5in of rain yesterday, mount tam had almost five inches of rainfall, and then you can see those numbers really dropping off as you move south of the golden gate bridge. so in san francisco, there was three quarters of an inch of rainfall. oakland had 4/10 of an inch of rain and almost nothing for hayward, as well as livermore and nothing for san jose. so we are still looking at some of the really significant rainfall totals that happened in the north bay and northern sonoma county, and varnado, w

meteorologist kari hall is monitoring what we can expect from the weather today. kari, how's it looking? yeah, we've been talking about the best times to travel and get out on the roads, and i think now's a good time. looking at the conditions out there and we don't have any more rain lingering. but it's cold as our temperatures have dipped in some spots into the 30s. that's what we're seeing in the north bay. but elsewhere it is in the 40s and low 50s. chilly start, and it's going to be a very cool day. at least it will be sunny and that helps it feel a little bit better. but as we go through the afternoon in san francisco, we're staying in the 50s for this afternoon and upper 50s and low 60s elsewhere. one of the warmer spots will be the south county, with morgan hill, gilroy and in san martin, temperatures in the low 60s. tomorrow it's not much different. after a very cool morning. we're staying in the 50s and low 60s as well, and then into friday. there is still that cool weather that will be settling in and slight warming for some of the inland valleys that we
