. >> and i'm marcus washington. let's get to kari right now a look at the forecast. kari? >> it starts out cool, just as you said and it's also still at dublin camera this morning through the headlights, it's going to be a day with unhealthy air quality especially for the north ba peninsula, and then for the inland east bay and the south bay, it's going to be through friday night. we are looking at temperatures today starting off very chilly and reaching into the upper 60s in dublin today. look at our microclimate shows we'll mostly see some 60s today. not a wide range in temperatures, just cool to start, and then a little bit milder for the rest of the day. mike, you're tracking a few slower commutes. >> the first one the bay bridge toll plaza, that's expected. this affects the highest volume of people coming through this area now, slowing and backing up as you get onto the span, but that means better the slowing across the bay bridge span and with the traffic held up at the toll plaza, being metered of course we have a lighter flow at speed across the span. farther north

i'm marcus washington. >> i'm laura garcia. that sig alert is happening for the eastbound direction. now we're finding there's a problem in the westbound direction as well. let's check in with vianey arana in for mike. >> let's get to that new issue that's starting to showcase itself in the speed sensors. there's a crash on the westbound side near the toll plaza. one lane is blocked. you can see it popping up on the speed sensors. this is in addition to the issue we've been reporting on all morning long. that's on the eastbound side after treasure island. there are two lanes now open, so traffic is crawling on by. three lanes remain blocked and there's no estimated time on when it will remain open. the latest chp report does look like they're hooking some vehicles onto a tow truck as of the latest so that could mean they'll clear that out a little quicker. as i was walking over here, i saw another issue pop up possibly just behind that sig alert. i'll immediately go look into that as soon as i get off this report. i want to let

i'm marcus washington. >> i'm laura garcia. >>> first, we have breaking traffic news. several lanes of the east bay are closed. >> what a day to start the day after halloween. it's the first day of november. let's get to that crash. there are several lanes closed, actually four lanes closed along the eastbound side at the treasure island off-ramp. two lanes are opened. we're starting to see delays off this. we are seeing according to chp a car is fully engulfed in a fire. this is a crash involving two vehicles. if i switch over to our camera, you can sort of see some lights coming through. it looks like as of right now, they have not issued a sig alert. but because four lanes are closed off, this can cause heavy delays through the early morning hours. no time on when they're expected to clear this accident out. crews are on the scene and hopefully everybody is okay. i know folks want to knows, how is november looking in terms of the weather. let's send things over to kari hall who will get ta look at th weather. >> temperatures start out warmer than yesterday. 62 degre

i am laura garcia. >> i'm marcus washington. santa rosa city schools are closed today because of air quality and we have more on the fires in a second. first a look at your weather and traffic. meteorologist kari hall has a look at the forecast. >> we're choked out by the nauseating smell of the smoke lowering our air quality today, and we're going to have unhealthy air quality throughout the day due to the camp fire in butte county, and for the south bay, moderate air quality for today, as we get a look at some of our cameras, as the sun comes up, we can see that at times, visibility is very low, even toward ocean beach. it is very gray, and the visibility will be low throughout the day, looking at dublin as well as the sun rises. so we're going to have to deal with this, as the winds turn much lighter and our temperatures are anywhere from 31 in santa rosa to 64 in half moon bay. san jose 45 and 41 in livermore. we will talk about our air quality in our weekend forecast. >>> mike, you're saying the local commute is starting to

. >> and i'm marcus washington.a look at the forecast and what we can expect outside. meteorologist kari hall has been tracking that for us. kari? >> it's still unhealthy out there, as we talk about our air quality and a spare the air alert that's going to continue through tomorrow. unhealthy with some spots very unhealthy at times, and then as we look at the wind, this is the driving force that brings that smoke down into the bay area. we can look at the direction of the wind coming down, and then swooping right across parts of our east bay, north bay, and also in san francisco. so that's why we do have the unhealthy air quality, but as we go through the forecast, going into tomorrow, the winds will start to shift, and pick up a bit. we'll have more of a southerly wind, and it's still going to be very light, so there may be that smoke that settles down into the valleys. look at what happens on wednesday, as we go through the forecast. brisk southerly wind, pushing the smoke away from the bay area, and we are lookin
