how unusual is it for the fbi to clarify this today and what is the fbi doing now? what is their main goal? >> yeah, we heard answers today that we were looking for. they were rather definitive or as best as we will get at this time. i have to tell you in my 25 years of experience with the fbi i'm trying unsuccessfully to recall a situation where an fbi assistant director flew in from headquarters from washington to handle a field office press conference. that is a reflection of a couple of things. first they want to make sure that the field office leadership focuses entirely on the investigation and does not have to worry about the media but also as ken said there was that emphatic correction of what was stated yesterday regarding we don't think he did this by himself. the answer today is we do think that. it is a lesson in some of the chaos quite frankly and confougz that occurs when thousands of leads are coming at you. witnesses are saying this and that. video surveillance is not entirely clear if someone was planting an ied or just looking at a box on the groun
