east bay 55, north bay 47, but we can expect to see a nice increase in those temperatures. it's going to bring the chance of seeing pretty dangerous heat in some areas. the south bay is expected to climb into the 90s. a high of 90 in san jose, 90 in cupertino, los gatos a high of 94. we're talking triple-digit heat in walnut creek, 101, concord 103, danville also expected to climb into the triple-digit mark which is why the national weather service has issued some heat advisories that are expected to take effect in the bay area starting on sunday. looking right now on the peninsula, even here we're expecting to climb into the 70s. for san francisco, expect mid-70s for today's highs. in the north bay a caombination of 90s in novato. i'll take a keep close. >>> speaking of hurricane harvey, it made landfall in texas overnight. utter devastation for the city of rockport, texas. at least one hotel completely flooded. the roof of a senior housing complex collapsed, causing many injuries. more than 200,000 people are without power across the region. in corpus christi harvey made l

(tiffany) in the north bay... a mother is attacked at a store in santa rosa while she is holding her baby. now one woman has been arrested. it happened at the dollar tree store on sebastopol road.(ááátriggerááá) police say it started when the baby started crying -- the woman then told the mother to quiet down her child. then the two women got into an argument... the mother with a baby in her arms started fighting with the woman. the mother was not seriously injured. police are investigating the incident as a possible hate crime after a witness said racial slurs were used in the fight. ( mark ) in the south bay... santa clara county water officials have started a plan to get rid of invasive plants along the coyote creek that may have contributed to last winter's flooding. now that plan is having an impact on homeless camps along the river. the plan is to clear out these giant plants. they are a bamboo like plant that can grow to be 30 feet tall. the homeless often use the plants as shelter. but now the homeless are
