The First Season of Mister Ed
Mister Ed (Himself) is a horse who is owned by Wilbur Post (Alan Young). Mister Ed is not just any horse, he talks to Wilbur. But this gets Wilbur in all kinds of trouble because Mister Ed won't talk to anyone else, so Carol (Connie Hines), Wilbur's wife, thinks that Wilbur loves Mister Ed more then he loves her, because he spends so much time with Mister Ed. Mister Ed also talks on the telephone and goes out of his barn to cause mischief, for which Wilbur gets blamed

Although Mr Ed was credited as Himself, the actual horse was called Bamboo Harvester, and he was voiced by Allan 'Rocky' Lane. In episodes where Mr Ed sang, his singing voice was that of Sheldon Allman. His solo line at the end of the show's theme song was provided by its composer, Jay Livingston.
Guests on the show included Mae West, Zsa Zsa Gabor, Clint Eastwood and Sharon Tate.
Donna Douglas (Ellie-Mae from The Beverley Hillbillies) appeared on the show three times, once as Clint Eastwood's girlfriend.
Irene Ryan ('Granny Moses' from The Beverley Hillbillies) also appeared in one episode.
Alan Young was cast as Wilbur Post because according to director Arthur Lubin, "he just seemed the sort of guy a horse would talk to".

Thank you so much for sharing this hard to find show.
I grew up watching this along with My Favorite Martian. These were so much fun and so wonderful because of the friendships on the show.
This gorgeous palomino and Wilbur were a beautiful team and I am very grateful to watch them again. This show is more fun to watch now and I enjoy it so much.
Thank you TVSTAR for uploading this treasure.
